(Photo by Surachai Piragsa)BURI RAM: The driver of an 18-wheel lorry was killed after the vehicle, loaded with about 30 tonnes of molasses, overturned in Khaen Dong district on Sunday morning, police said. Pol Lt Col Prayoon Ritta, a Khaen Dong police investigator, said the vehicle skidded off the Khu Muang-Khaen Dong road near Ban Yang Noi in tambon Sa Bua and overturned. The 18-wheel lorry was carrying about 30 tonnes of malasses from Nong Bua Lamphu province to a liquor factory in Satuk district in Buri Ram. Rescuers from the Buri Ram-based Sawanchanya Thammasatharn Foundation took about 30 minutes to extract his body from the badly-damaged vehicle.
